NETWORKINGStudent PugwashThe mission of Student Pugwash USA is to promote social responsibility in science and technology. The Rockefeller chapter organizes talks and discussions around campus and helps with educational outreach events. In fact, the Student Pugwash chapter at Rockefeller has planned an exciting lecture series for this fall! Minority Graduate Student NetworkDennis J Spencer,The New York City Minority Graduate Student Network is an organization founded and maintained by minority graduate students in the biomedical and natural sciences. It is a community in which minority graduate students can interact with their peers as well as with post-doctoral fellows, established scientists and other professionals. RU Biotechnology ForumThe Forum aims to promote interest and entrepreneurship in the life sciences industry via educational and networking events involving both the academic and business communities. Postdoctoral Association (PDA)A place to send your issues and concerns if you are a post-doc. They are the post-doc liaison to the RU administration.The PDA also supports a number of activities for the Rockefeller post-doc community. SCIENCENeglected Tropical Disease GroupLukasz Kowalik, Yeast ClubMartin Kampmann,A community for those at Rockefeller who work on yeast. Talks are given by students, postdocs, and invited speakers. ARTS, CULTURE AND FUNRockefeller University Film SeriesAlexis Gambis, Darwin’s FinchesA small a cappella group of students and postdocs. The finches sing a wide range of music, from renaissance to radiohead. Natural SelectionsA newsletter written by and produced for the Rockefeller community. Improvisational Theater GroupAdria LeBoeuf,The Rockefeller Improvisational Theater group meets weekly to play improv games and have fun. Also, off-campus guerrilla theater events are held sporadically. Beginners are welcome. Faculty and Students ClubA great place to socialize and imbibe intoxicating fluids. Scholar’s Residence ClassesA few more classes can be found on the 38th floor of Scholar’s Residence: Swing and Ballroom dance lessons () and Yoga classes ().
